Programming the Cherry Keyboard

Go to an MSDOS prompt from Windows or load NotePad in Windows.

Hold down both the right and left Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys until “MENU ENTRY” appears on the screen.

Press J 1 Y

Press J 2 Y

Press J 3 N

Press J 4 N

Press V 5 % Press ENTER key on the Ten Key Pad.

Press W 5 ? ; Press ENTER key on the Ten Key Pad.

Press W 6 ? [Enter] Press ENTER key on the Ten Key Pad

Press the Space Bar to exit Programming Mode.

** Swiping a credit card at this point should produce the following format.

%B8256014206296285^DOE JR/JOHN D^05161011111100821000000?;8256014206296285=051610111111821?

Return to the Windows desktop and go into MicroBiz.

Click on Management | Customize | Windows Settings

Select the Station ID (for IC Verify) starting with 001 and incrementing this number at each workstation.

Click on OK to save.

Click on Management | Customize | Credit/Debit Card Settings.

Select “Activate IC Verify”

Be certain your IC Verify Path is correct. ex: C:\ICVWINXXX\MULTI

Stripe reader type must be set for 1.

Click on Save | OK.
