Using The AM3000 with Keyboard Wedge Connection:
For brand new AM3000 units.
- Turn on the, AM 3000, data collector.
- It will prompt you for a password (type) M3000P [enter]
- It will then pompt you to EDIT PROGRAM, scroll down to PGM P2 [enter]
- Once that is finished click EXIT
- It will ask to SAVE NEW PROGRAM click YES, and then click EXIT.
- This will bring you to the PORTABLE MODE SELECT FUNCTION screen.
- Now it ready to go.
Inputting the Data:
- Turn on the, AM3000, data collector. It will bring to the display PORTABLE MODE SELECT FUNCTION.
- Click on FUNC then on INPUT (the letter I)
- It will then prompt SELECT PROGRAM
- Scroll down using down arrow key on keypad to PGM P2 [enter]
- The next prompt will have you INPUT FILE *NEW FILE * press [enter]
- Type whatever name you wish (e.g. DATA) [enter]
- P/N QTY display on the screen.
- At this point you may start scanning inventory or manually enter SKU’s and Qty. When done press EXIT.
- It will then ask to EXIT DATA ENTRY press YES.
- Then will prompt SAVE DATA FILE press YES.
- Press EXIT to return to PORTABLE MODE SELECT FUNCTION.
- Turn the unit off and you can go do the Export of data.
Exporting the Data:
Turn your computer off and connect the Keyboard wedge device that comes with the unit, and plug the AM3000 to it and restart the computer.
- Once the computer is up, turn on the AM3000 and it will say KEYBOARD WEDGE.
- Open Notepad
- On the AM3000 press FUNC XMITbutton (B)
- This will prompt you to TRANSMIT DATA SELECT. UPLOAD DATA is the first selection press [enter]
- Then it will prompt the UPLOAD SELECTION, scroll down to the PGM P2 press [enter]
- This will then prompt for the file scroll down to your file (e.g. DATA) and press [enter]
- This will upload the data into Notepad
- Once the data upload is complete the AM3000 will beep.
- All the data imported to Notepad will be in a comma-delimited format.
- All the data imported will have the SKU at the beginning, a comma, and then the QTY.
- To save the Data for import into MicroBiz from Notepad, click on FILE, then SAVE AS.
- We suggest you save the data to a file within C:\BIZWIN for ease of import. MicroBiz will look there first for the import file.
Importing the Data into MicroBiz using MircoTrak:
*Note: All inventory entered into the AM3000 must already exist in MicroBiz.*
- Open the MicroBiz Windows program.
- Go to TOOLS/MicroTrak/Import Data.
- Choose the Data Format as *.CSV (ASCII with Variable Field Width, Delimited with Commas).
- Go to Fields to Import and check SKU and QUANTITY
- Then choose to “Add to Existing On Hand Quantity” or “Replace Inventory On Hand Quantity”.
- Click on IMPORT. Find the file of data you saved from Notepad, highlight it and click IMPORT.
- It will tell you how many records received
- Tell you its ready to update inventory and ask if you want an Exception Report.
- It is recommended you at least view the Exception Report to the screen to verify the files are complete.
- Then it will ask to proceed to update, click on yes.
- It will now update the Inventory totals.
