Statements Not Aging ProperlyCustomer statements in the Business Controller Plus for Windows should age each month. Statements keep track of charges within the past 30 days, 30-60 days, 60-90 days, and older than 90 days. Some clients will report that their customer statements are not aging, i.e., all of their charges show up in the 30 day range, no matter how long ago the charges were created. To fix this, just go to management, customize, transaction settings, finance charges, and place a check mark in the charge finance charges. Without this checked, the system will never update the statements. The day of month to post is the day that these charges will be updated. If a customer doesn’t want to charge finance charges, just set the monthly finance charge to zero. When the program updates the finance charges, it also updates the closing date under customers, customer statements. If a customer complains that this date is not current, this is the reason. That date is not based on the computer clock; it is based on the updating of monthly finance charges. Have a question about point-of-sale hardware or MicroBiz software? Visit the MicroBiz WebBoard.
