PHL1600 and RapidGen Software
The following steps allow for entering data into the MicroBiz System following a physical inventory taken with the PHL1600.
- Install the RapidGen Software via floppies or the Internet.
- Run the RapidGen, and setup your serial port under "PC Configuration"
- Attach the PHL1600 to the serial port that you picked.
- Turn on the PHL1600 by holding down the "0", "ENT", and then hitting the Orange "PW" button.
- Under the menu that comes up, enter the "Setup" option.
- Pick "Com Setup" by using the arrow keys on the bottom of the PHL1600, and then hit "ENT"
- Pick RS-232C and on the keypad hit "ENT"
- Choose "ENT" on the BPS, and pick 9600 by using the arrow keys.
- Click on "ENT" twice, then hit F1 once.
- Use the down arrow to get to the Loading option, and hit "ENT"
- Pick the Download option and hit "ENT".
- Go back into RapidGen and click on "Download PHL program" button
- Double click on the PHL1600.hex file and click yes on the download option.
- Pick the "Download Ini file" option and pick MicroBiz.ini.
- Turn the PHL1600 off and then back on.
- Click on yes to download the file.
- Hit number 4 on the PHL1600 and then choose number 1.
- Start scanning in data.
- When done scanning, connect the serial cable, then choose number 3 and then 1.
- Re-enter RapidGen and choose "Upload file from PHL"
- That’s it, the file should be in the c:\program files\rg\ the name is import.txt
