Installation Instructions For MicroBiz Business Controller

This process will take you through the installation and set up of MicroBiz Business Controller for Windows 95/98 for a single user license.

1. Using the mouse, click on the "START" window in the lower left corner of the Windows 95/98 desktop.
2. Select "RUN". With the CD-ROM inserted in the drive, type "D:\setup" in the white window. Click on the "OK" button to start the installation. (Use whatever letter your CD-ROM drive is in place of "D" if "D" is not the correct letter. If you need to, you can find your drive's ID by double clicking on the "My Computer" icon. )
3. At the next screen, highlight selection a) Business/Auto Controller for Windows – Full Install. Once the selection is made, click "Next" to continue on to the next screen.
4. The following is the Select Drive screen. Type in the letter of the drive you wish to install MicroBiz to if other than Drive C: then click “Next”.
5. The installation of the MicroBiz files proceeds until a screen appears stating “Setup has successfully finished installing your MicroBiz Software.” Etc. Click the “OK” panel.
6. The next screen is informing you the Installation is complete and asks you if you would like to view the “Read me” file. Selecting “Yes” will display the New Features list. Exiting the Read me file will allow MicroBiz to finish the install procedure.
7. When the install completes, 2 panels appear on your screen. “Reindexing Completed”. Click “OK” and “Key Block Data”. Verify this data is correct and click “OK”.
8. The next panel to appear is the “Select Business Model”. A few different types of businesses are listed here. Select “Standard Retail Business” or whichever description matches your business best, and click “Okay”, “OK”.
9. It is suggested to set a password for yourself by clicking on Management, Add/Edit Password. At the next screen click on Add, and enter the information requested for yourself with a Security Level of 0.
10. At the next screen click on “Daily”, “Work Screen”. Type your “Sign on” Initials as requested and click “OK”.
11. A “Welcome” box appears over the Registration screen. Click on the “X” in the upper right corner after reading to close the box.
12. Follow the instructions on the screen for registering your program.
13. Once the registration process is complete you will be in the MicroBiz workscreen.
14. Installation is complete.
