 Before Calling For SupportThere may come a time when it is necessary to call MicroBiz Technical Support for assistance. To help the technicians answer your questions, we must ask you to have certain information ready. Below is a list of the basic information needed, along with directions to obtain it. Program Name On Main Menu EXE Date (3 means of obtaining EXE date) From DOS: In the \1 directory, type DIR *.EXE Look for the PROGRAM name (eg.BUSINESS.EXE) Next to the name is a date. This is the EXE date. OR From the Main Menu: Go to Management pull-down, select Maintenance. Now select System Environment and hit enter three times. Toward the lower left corner of the screen, you will see the PROGRAM name (eg. BUSINESS.EXE) with a date next to it. This is your EXE date.

Available Memory Check available conventional memory: If you have less than 580K free, consult with your Dealer to adjust the memory. 3 Type: MEM /C | MORE 3 Look for the line stating Largest Executable Program Size. if not at least 580K, try loading as 3 Note that with Lantastic 6.x you can load SERVER high (LH SERVER) CONFIG.SYS Quit out of the MicroBiz program to a DOS prompt. With your printer ON-LINE, type the following: TYPE \CONFIG.SYS > PRN (enter). Make sure your config.sys file looks like this: DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE RAM 512 MIN=400 ICVERIFY used DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS NOVCPI No ICVERIFY used BUFFERS=16 24 if running Lantastic server FILES=61 99 if running Lantastic server DOS=HIGH,UMB SHELL=C:\DOS\COMMAND.COM C:\DOS\ /P /E:1024 AUTOEXEC.BAT Quit out of the MicroBiz program to a DOS prompt. With your printer ON-LINE, type the following: TYPE \AUTOEXEC.BAT > PRN (enter).
