UPS Import in the MicroBiz Windows Version

There is a basic UPS import in the MicroBiz windows version. It willimport the date and method of shipment and update our invoice.dbf so thatthe data can be seen in customer history.

This is in Windows version 4.5 and up.

Below is technical information which describes how to use the import.

This import will work with UPS Online for Windows Version 5.

Be advised that UPS has several versions of software out there. We areonly supporting

this one.

Create a UPS export file - Using the UPS program.

Go to Admin, Create a dbase type export template for the LATEST PICKUPrecord. (this is VERY important that you reference this database.)

Then edit that template and move the fields shown below :

The following fields are needed to be exported:

CUSTOM1 - this is where you will put the invoice number as you do eachtransaction

PICKUP_DAT - pick up date

SERVICE_RA - type of service - Ground, Blue , etc.

Save the template.

At the end of the day, you will go to Admin/Export and select the templatethat you created and export the data to A:\EXPSHIP.DBF.

You will then go to MicroBiz/Management/Import/UPS

Put the disk in Drive A: and import that file.

It will update the INVOICE.DBF automatically.
