When The LAN Locks UpIf you are running a MicroBiz Controller Series product on a LAN, and the LAN locks up at the License screen, most likely the problem is an Interrupt (IRQ) conflict. As a rule of thumb, there should be no device sharing the same IRQ setting. An example of this would be a Pole Display on COM2 and an Ethernet card on IRQ3. Below, is a list of all major IRQ settings and what they are assigned to. Any IRQ listed as AVAILABLE may be used for a network card, sound card, etc... IRQ00 TIMER IRQ01 KEYBOARD IRQ02 DOS/SYSTEM AREA IRQ03 COM2/COM4 IRQ04 COM1/COM3 IRQ05 LPT2/LPT4 IRQ06 FLOPPY DISK IRQ07 LPT1/LPT3 IRQ08 REAL-TIME CLOCK IRQ09 AVAILABLE IRQ10 AVAILABLE IRQ11 AVAILABLE IRQ12 AVAILABLE IRQ13 COPROCESSOR IRQ14 FIXED DISK IRQ15 AVAILABLE MicroBiz reccommends using IRQ15 for ALL Ethernet Adaptors when possible.
