GL Merge

The files GLMERGE.EXE and GLMERGE.OVL should be placed in the \BUSINESS\1 directory of the Controller. It can be accessed through the utility menu. The new merges for Peachtree v3.0 for Windows, Business Works and Quickbooks for Windows are outlined below.

Peachtree v3.0 for Windows

• 1 Go to the Utility Menu and select GLMerge

The General Ledger Posting Options dialog box will appear.

• 3 Highlight Change Postings Config and press enter.

The following message will appear: "Change product? (Y/N)."

• 4 Type Y to select a new product.

The accounting packages menu will appear.

• 5 Highlight Peachtree for Windows and press enter.

The system will ask you to enter the directory name.

• 6 Type C:\PEACHW and press enter.

The system will ask you to enter the file name to post to.

• 7 Type TRANS.CSV and press enter.
• 8 Highlight Change Acct. Postings and press enter.

The chart of accounts will be displayed.

• 9 Set up the chart of accounts.
