How to Modify An Invoice
Invoice type 7 can be modified. You need a dbase editor or you can use the FOXPRUN utility found on the CD ROM or on our web site. Uncompress the fox stuff. Copy it to the Business sub-direct. Start it up by typing FOXPRUN DOT.
At the dot prompt type USE INVFORM. INVFORM.DBF is a database file that you can tweak to change the output.
A few rules:
There can be no spaces in the expression that is being output. The file being referenced is TEMP.DBF. You can find a variety of fields in there. It is in the lower sub-directory. You can also reference CUST.DBF if you need to. Figure on spending two or three hours tweaking the invoice
to get the concept down. If you don't know how to view the fields in a database, you will need to consult someone with some programming experience, preferably in dbase, foxbase or clipper. You can turn this into a 40 column invoice if you desire.
