COMIX Errors - 80098009 - Corruption detected - Usually an index. Clean and pack the appropriate file. If you are not sure which it is, delete all the CDX files in the BUSINESS directory. When you restart the program, it will clean and pack all the files. If a DBF file has corruption, the first step is to re-install from the latest disks that you have. Causes of index or database corruption - 1. Hard drive problems. 2. System lockups - usually caused by memory errors, requiring the system to be rebooted. Sometimes caused by other programs memory problems. If so, remove all other programs from your computer. 3. Power surges. 4. Intermittant network problems. FREQUENTLY caused by cabling. 5. Turning the computer off BEFORE quitting the program. 6. Static discharges. 7. Viruses. Use an anti-virus program regularly. NEVER let anyone put other software on your business system. Be VERY careful about what you download or get from friends and neighbors. If you experience this problem on a regular basis, we suggest that you remove other software from the system and try to narrow it down. Perhaps taking one station off line for a few days at a time to try to identify where the problem may be occuring. You should not be experiencing this on a regular basis. If this happens more than once or twice a year, something on the system is not right.
