Using The "CHKDUPDB.EXE" Utility Program
When you are first initializing "chkdupdb.exe" program you must have it installed in the sub directory, under the program name.
Once you have it in the sub directory, you can execute the utility by changing the directory to the sub or (\1). After you have
this at your prompt, for example: If there are any duplicates this utility will show you, in which case you will need to remove them from the directory. Some database files might not affect the program because they aren't used anymore, depending on the version of the program. Older versions use different file names. Make sure that if there are duplicate files you "PRINT SCREEN" so you have a copy of the files in front of you if you have any questions on what to do next, or if you call MicroBiz Technical Support or your dealer for technical assistance. NOTE: Each program has its own permanent files. These are the files that we check for because they can cause a lot of problems from within the system. For example, in Business we check for CUST.DBF, INVOICE.DBF, VENDOR.DBF and PRODUCT.DBF. Have a question about point-of-sale hardware or MicroBiz software? Visit the MicroBiz WebBoard.
